AN ORGANIZATIONAL MODEL FOR INTEGRATING PRIVATE MEDICAL CLINICS INTO SOCIAL AND MEDICAL CARE FOR PATIENTS WITH WAR-RELATED INJURIES (USING THE “NO TRACES OF WAR” PROGRAM AS AN EXAMPLE)

Abstract

Introduction. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the organizational model for involving private medical clinics in the provision of social and medical care to patients suffering from the consequences of war trauma, using the “No Traces of War” program as a case study. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing need for treatment of scar deformities, post-traumatic changes in appearance, long-term rehabilitation, and psychosocial recovery of victims against the backdrop of an overburdened public healthcare system.

Purpose. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the managerial value of a network model for involving private clinics in the provision of social and medical care to victims of war-related injuries, and to identify its advantages, limitations, and areas for further development.

Materials and methods. The methodological framework consisted of systemic, structural-functional, and comparative approaches, content analysis of project documentation, descriptive statistics, and analytical grouping of data on participating clinics.

Results. It was established that the program formed a managed network of facilities of various profiles, combined medical, coordination, and socio-psychological components, and created the prerequisites for standardizing treatment decisions through the development of a consensus-based approach to scar treatment. It has been demonstrated that the effectiveness of such a model depends on coordination, patient routing, data management, standardization of clinical decisions, and cross-sectoral collaboration. From this perspective, the program has potential not only as a charitable or professional case study, but as a practical approach for a scalable network model.

Prospects. Further development of the “No Traces of War” program should be carried out through the formalization of management procedures, the standardization of quality criteria, and integration into systemic mechanisms for post-war reconstruction of the healthcare sector.
