Open Data Policy
The journal supports the principles of open science and encourages authors to provide open access to research data in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
1. General Principles
Authors are expected to make the data underlying their research findings openly available, except where ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions apply.
2. Data Repositories
Research datasets should be deposited in open-access repositories, including:
- institutional repositories of universities or research institutions;
- national research data repositories;
- international repositories (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad, etc.).
3. Data Identification Requirements
- each dataset must have a persistent identifier (preferably a DOI);
- the dataset DOI must be included in the article metadata;
- datasets must be properly cited within the manuscript;
- dataset metadata must comply with international standards.
4. Quantity and Completeness of Datasets
Authors must ensure that all datasets necessary to reproduce the results of the study are deposited. The number of datasets should correspond to the scope and complexity of the research.
If multiple datasets are used, each dataset must be deposited separately and assigned its own DOI.
5. Data Availability Statement
Each article must include a Data Availability Statement, specifying:
- the location of the datasets;
- DOI or other persistent links;
- conditions of access;
- any access restrictions with justification.
6. Exceptions
Where data cannot be made openly available due to legal, ethical, or confidentiality constraints, authors must provide a justified explanation in the Data Availability Statement.
7. Compliance with International Standards
This policy complies with FAIR principles, international open science recommendations, and DOAJ requirements regarding transparency and accessibility of research data.
